Minor in Korean Studies *

 
* For student admitted in 2009 or earlier, who have already enrolled in this minor or have taken the courses before September 2010 that are only found in old curriculum to fulfil minor requirements.

Annyunghaseyo! ("Hello" in Korean) The department of CTL is pleased to announce that the Minor in Korean Studies is now available to City U students.

Unique in Hong Kong, the Minor in Korean Studies offers participants a broad, yet in-depth study of the language, culture, history and society of Korean civilization. The program may be of particular interest to those majoring in business, social sciences, and computer science. It includes both language and other courses related to Korea.

The Minor in Korean Studies requires successful completion of four Korean language courses, one culture course, and one area studies course, totaling fifteen (15) credit hours.

By adding this minor to your degree, you will have a more competitive edge in the job market. Excellent employment opportunities are available in various industries such as trading, IT industry, translation, hotel and tourism, airlines, banking, international affairs, and education for those who are equipped with Korean language and cultural literacy.
